One of the most seismic changes in Church history – the reformation of the 1500s – was aided hugely by the introduction of a radical piece of new technology; the printing press. Philosophers, theologians and cultural commentators are all harking back to that shift, implying that the digital revolution is bringing about a similar evolution. So how is it impacting our thinking about faith? The way we do church? What are the implications for established and mainstream denominations?
Anna Robbins is senior lecturer in Theology and Contemporary Culture at the London School of Theology. She researches, writes, and speaks internationally in the areas of social ethics, contemporary culture and apologetics, challenging Christians to think clearly about living a biblically transformative faith in a rapidly-changing world. She is the author of Methods in the Madness, and Sharing the Feast, and editor of Ecumenical and Eclectic and Christian Life and Today’s World.
